Curious about how many shutter activations your camera has gone through?
Posted by David Chin on May 10th, 2006 in Tips on operating your Nikon D70 / D70sWith every image file, your Nikon D70s records the shutter count sequence that resulted in the shot. This is helpful for instance, if you ever wondered how many times the shutter in the used camera you’re considering to buy has been tripped.
Well, the free software by Dr Chung called the Preview Extractor allows you to view this information. Going back to the used camera situation, you could always ask the seller to take a recent photo and email it to you - you’ll then be able to determine how “trigger-happy” the current owner is with the unit for sale.
